The first daughter of coach Keshi, Jennifer who arrived the country recently from the US has taken over the plans for the burial of her late father, the legendary coach and this has stirred up a minor controversy. Recent reports reveal that the federal government through the sports ministry and Nigeria football federation (NFF) are showing a lot of interest in the burial plans. However, controversy started when the question of where Keshi should be buried arose, opinions were divided between Benin city his adopted home, and Illah his ancestral stead.
“That will easily be settled,” a source said. There is also
a tentative burial date of July 28, that has not been totally agreed upon.
