Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama
Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama says that the Swiss Government has agreed to return about $230 million stolen from Nigeria.

The Minister revealed this at a news conference organized to appraise Buhari’s one year in office.

Onyeama also said that monies stolen from the country are also in the process of being repatriated from the United States of America, the United Kingdom, and Jersey Island off the coast of the United Kingdom, Lensisteine.

The Swiss Government earlier this year confirmed it had so far returned $723 million (about N142.43 billion) of stolen funds seized from the family of the late former head of state, Sani Abacha, to the Nigerian government over the last 10 years.
