STATE OF THE NATION: SENATE SUMMONS KEMI ADEOSUN AND EMEFIELE

Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele

The Nigerian Senate has summoned the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to appear before it and brief the senators on the current state of the economy.

This was sequel to a motion on Wednesday by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas, Senator Bassey Akpan.

The upper chamber did not give the specific date that the two government officials would appear before it.
