BOKO HARAM RAID ADAMAWA, KILLS SIX, INJURES EIGHT


Boko Haram terrorists have again struck some villages in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing six  and leaving eight others injured.

According to eyewitness report, the insurgents struck in the areas at about 2:30a.m. when locals were still asleep.

It was gathered that the insurgents attacked the place at started the raid at about 1:30ammaking residents flee into nearby bushes.

The resident said the terrorists killed six  persons, while several others sustained injuries.

A resident of the area said the insurgents operated freely for many hours due to the complete absence of security personnel in the area they attacked.

According to THISDAY, Another resident of the area, Joseph John, accused the soldiers deployed of leaving them to their  fate, corroborating Amadu’s  account that there was a complete absence of security personnel in the attacked area.

“We want the government to deploy more security personnel to our area because as Nigerians, the government owes us a duty to protect us,”  he said.

The member representing Madagali and Michik, federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Adamu Kamale, confirmed the attack, saying six people were killed and eight others injured during the midnight attack.

“We are mourning now, they slaughtered six people and  eight others seriously injured.

“The fact that our area share borders with Sambisa forest and Cameroun Republic should have been enough reason why government must deploy security personnel to protect us. If the government does not take proactive measures to stem the ugly insurrection of the terrorists into our domain, they will kill all of us.

“The number of soldiers deployed is grossly inadequate, we need more security personnel as our villages share borders with Sambisa forest,” the lawmaker said
