The House of Representatives Speaker, Mr.
Yakubu Dogara today directed the investigation of three of its members over an
alleged seed scandal which took place in the US. Mr. Abdulrazak Namdas, the chairman house committee
on media and public affairs have confirmed in Abuja. He said that the
leadership of the house took necessary action after Mr. James Entwistle, the US
Ambassador to Nigeria made a formal complaint on behalf of the US.
Commenting on the issue Mr. Abdulrazak Namdas
said, "We are in receipt of a letter from the US Ambassador, alleging
misconduct by some members of the National Assembly, who attended a training
programme in the United States of America.
"The leaderships of the House has
commenced its own post of the investigation. When it is concluded, we will
brief Nigerians further on the issue," he said.
