Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has stated that
Nigeria has no business signing rail deals with China, insisting the
tracks can be produced in the Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Company.The
Chairman, Senate Committee on Privatization stressed that such trade deals
showed lack of coordination.The
Senator who disclosed this in Ajaokuta, Kogi State when he led the Senate and
House of Representatives Joint Committee on Privatization to
Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Company, said that
the current state of the company did not present the country in good light.
Murray-Bruce said the lawmakers will meet with Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Minister
of Solid Minerals and Steel, and hold a public hearing on the Ajaokuta Iron
Steel Company on Thursday.
