MUST READ: WHATSAPP TO END SUPPORT FOR NOKIA AND BLACKBERRY DEVICES, ADD GIF SUPPORT TO IOS [SEE DETAILS]

Report says WhatsApp will now include GIF support to its iOS application in its latest version to be released soon.
The Facebook-owned messaging app has staunchly resisted the GIF invasion till date, and support for sharing animated images will certainly be a welcome feature addition for users.

The new feature which was spotted in iOS beta build (version 2.16.7.1), was first reported by WABetaInfo - a Twitter account dedicated to WhatsApp’s upcoming features.

The report also indicated that WhatsApp will end support for iPhones running iOS 6 and older versions of the OS, Blackberry devices (including BB10) and Nokia, from December 31, 2016.

WhatsApp has already ended support for Nokia and BlackBerry devices.

WhatsApp has been steadily adding a host of new features to its app. Recently, the company added support to share documents, like PDFs, Doc files, etc... even from third-party apps like Google Drive, OneDrive and the feature is available on both Android and iOS devices, at least for now.
