Senate President Bukola Saraki has withdrawn his suit at the appeal court, seeking to stop his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
Saraki is facing a 13-count charge of false declaration of asset while he was governor of Kwara state.
In his application at the Appeal court, Saraki had argued against the jurisdiction of the CCT arguing the court has not granted him a fair hearing.
However, at the hearing on Monday, Counsel to Saraki, Kanu Agabi told the court that he wanted to withdraw his suit against the CCT but prayed the court to grant accelerated hearing to their appeal, Online news reports.
The appeal court is yet to fix a date for the hearing of the substantive suit.
