Winner of the Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant in 1992, Sandra Petgrave, who moved to the United States in the mid 90s before marrying Chiedu Chukwuka spent two days in jail in 2009 after her husband reported her to the Police for battery.
Sandra and her husband, Chiedu have now been sentenced to prison in the US for fraudulent mortgage practices.
According to a report by the United States Department of Justice, Chiedu Chukwuka was the leader of a mortgage fraud ring that operated for five years and caused millions of dollars in losses to banks. Chiedu has been sentenced to nine years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release and ordered to pay $5.8Million in restitution.
Sandra Petgrave who was also part of the mortgage fraud ring has also been sentenced to one and a half years in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release and ordered to pay $1Million in restitution.
