'FAYOSE IS MAKING MOCKERY OF EKITI STATE, WE ARE NOT HAPPY' - FORMER GOVERNOR

A former governor of Ekiti state, Niyi Adebayo has declared that nobody in the country is happy with how Ayodele Fayose is governing the state.

This was made known in a statement issued by the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mai-Bala Buni on Tuesday, February 16.

The statement also disclosed that APC is set to bring all the members of the state chapter together to create an unbeatable opposition against Fayose’s administration.

Furthermore, Niyi Adebayo decries the idea of establishing an airport in the state at a time like this when paucity of funds is wrecking the state's economy.

In his words: “Frankly speaking, even without paucity of fund, even with the way things were before, it is a surprise that anybody or any reasonable person will say that the priority for the state is an airport. It is definitely not an airport. We have an airport in Akure which is 45 minutes drive from our state capital. So building an airport in the state honestly is not a well taught out project.”

In respect to the situation of things within the state, the former governor stated that: “I don’t think there is anybody in Nigeria who will say he is happy with what is happening in Ekiti state.

“Ekiti is being turned into a pariah state and it is unfortunate that this sort of thing is happening and that is why we who are in the opposition are putting our house in order and we believe that if we all stick together and make sure that the party is in stable state, we will be able to wrestle power back from the current governor that is making mockery of our state.”
