The Nigerian Army has said 800 militants from the terrorist Boko Haram group who have surrendered and shown remorse will be rehabilitated and reintegrated into society.

According to the BBC, they would be profiled, documented and offered training in new skills at several camps currently being set up, the army spokesman said.

MINISTER DEBUNKS YIELDING NIPOST TO FOREIGN MANAGERS

The Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, has debunked reports that the ministry plans to handover the management of Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) to foreign managers.

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Victim Oluwadamilare, Shittu said there is no iota of truth in the statement. He said the federal government will look inward among NIPOST staff to manage the affairs of the parastatal, which is one of the five parastatals under the supervision of the ministry of communications.

Tension in Port Harcourt Intensify as cultist kill 15

Local sources have revealed that there was tension in Omoku Community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers state, following the killing of 15 people by suspected cultists.

On the night of Friday, February 12,  about 50 gunmen suspected to be cultists stormed the community and killed about 15 persons.
