SUSPECTED HERDSMEN RAID TARABA VILLAGES, KILL 44

At least 44 people were killed in a series of attacks by suspected herdsmen on villages in Gassaka and Bali local government areas of Taraba state.

Sylvanus Giwa, senior special assistant to the governor on media and publicity, confirmed this in a statement he issued on Tuesday.

The statement said 20 persons were killed in Angai village, nine in Maisuma, eight in Dorei and seven in Fali.

RADIO BIAFRA RESUMES TRANSMISSION, SAYS THEY ARE 'UNSTOPPABLE'




Although the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is still behind the bars, the people of Biafra seem unperturbed and resolute in their campaign for independence as their pirate radio station, Radio Biafra, has resumed streaming live across the Nigerian airwaves, months after it was shut down by the Nigerian government.
