WITNESS SAYS ORONSAYE FIXED GOVT FUND IN PERSONAL ACCOUNT

The trial of the former Head of Service and Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Financial Action Task Force, PCFATF, Steven Oronsaye, continued on Wednesday April 13, 2016 before Justice O. O. Goodluck of the FCT High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja.

Oronsaye is being prosecuted on a 2-count charge of abuse of office and obtaining by false pretence preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

PANAMA PAPERS EXPOSE RETIRED GENERAL THEOPHILUS DANJUMA'S OFFSHORE COMPANY



Theophilus Danjuma, a retired army general, and former defence minister is one of Nigeria’s richest personalities, courtesy of his ownership of one of Nigeria’s most lucrative oil blocs and a money-spinning shipping firm.

The retired general is a long time user of offshore entities, and the Mossac Fonseca files has now exposed another company of his – Eastcoast Investments Inc – which he incorporated in Nassau, in the Bahamas, on March 25, 1997.

At inception, Mr. Danjuma and a certain Colin Marcel Dixon were directors of the company.

Suspected militants in a speedboat invaded the United Bank for Africa(UBA), located in the university town of Ammassoma in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, on Friday.

The militants carted away an Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
The gunmen, numbering twelve and armed with sophisticated weapons and dynamite, invaded the Ammassoma community at about 11:03pm through the waterways, according to sources speaking to SaharaReporters.

BREAKING: FORMER DELTA STATE GOVERNOR HAS DIED!







The first executive governor of Delta state, Felix Ibru, is dead.

He died at the ago 80.

A family source told Saharareporters that Mr. Ibru died in a Lagos hospital after a protracted illness.

Mr. Ibru was elected on the platform of the Social Democratic Party as governor of Delta briefly between 1992 and 1993, he was sacked when the military junta led by late general Sanni Abacha sacked all civilian governors in a bloodless coup.
