The former Governor of Adamawa State, Mr. James Ngilari has been hospitalised after he fell sick in custody of the EFCC. The ex-governor who was rushed to the Gombe General Hospital was arrested for his alleged role in the sharing of the $115m (N23bn) which emanated from a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
An EFCC detective who didn’t want his name in print,
said, “Former Governor Ngilari who has been in custody in our Gombe office
since Thursday, took ill and started complaining of fatigue. We have taken him
to the General Hospital, Gombe.
“He has been admitted and is
currently receiving treatment.”
