Senator Dino Melaye, the chairman of the Senate committee on FCT, has recently bought a 2015 slingshot estimated at N4.78 million ($24,000).
The latest toy of the controversial politician stirred controversies among residents of Abuja and social media users.
Many Nigerians are bemused and they wonder if this was the reason they were told to 'tighten their belt' this year or it is just a 'political diplomacy.'
Some people also questioned the act if it is part of the #BuyNaijaToGrowNaija campaign aimed at encouraging the patronage of made in Nigeria products to grow the Nation’s currency.
