PINNICK: 'OKOWA WILL EXCEL BECAUSE HE IS BETTER THAN ME'

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ama­ju Pinnick, has declared that Delta sports will flourish with the appoint­ment of Tony Okowa, as his replacement.

Amaju Pinnick is the immediate past executive chairman of Delta State Sports Com­mission.

He commended the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, on the choice he made as he believes Tony Okowa is the right man for the job

“We have worked together for years and I can vouch for him. He (Tony) has con­tributed immensely to Delta sports and I know he will do very well and even surpass the achievements of my pre­decessor, Solomon Ogba and myself. I expect him to go places because he understands the terrain and has worked with us on many fronts. He is even better than me in temperament because I know I can be difficult to work with but Tony is cool, calm but calcu­lated,” Amaju said.

Amaju further commended other members of the board for their commitment and pleaded that they support the new man with the mandate as they did him.
