Dangote Foundation Donates Food Items To IDPs In Abuja

The Dangote Foundation as part of its philanthropic gesture, has donated food items worth millions of Naira, to alleviate the suffering of vulnerable and indigent residents in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The Minister of FCT, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, who was represented by the acting Secretary of Social Development, Bolanle Irene Elegbede, while receiving the items, commended the president of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, and the foundation for supporting the poor people in Abuja, promising to ensure that the beneficiaries get the products.

The chairman of Dangote Foundation, Aliko Dangote, who was represented by Dr. Azeez Oseni, the Director of Health and Nutrition, said the foundation was committed to alleviating poverty in Nigeria.

The items delivered by the Dangote foundation include sugar, salt, spaghetti, rice, Danvita and wheat meal. This donation came on the heels of a staggering N2 billion given to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Borno State last month.
