NIGERIANS BLAST MINISTER FOR 'PETTY' REMARKS ON RENOWNED NIGERIAN SINGER [DETAILS]

Minister of Environment, Mrs. Amina Mohammed
The Minister of Environment, Mrs. Amina Mohammed said renowned Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo declined a request to perform at the launching of the Ogoni Cleanup held in Rivers State last week.
While appreciating everyone who made the inaugural event a success, the minister added that the West African Idol winner declined her invitation to perform at the occasion.

Mrs. Amina said: “A big thank you to all who contributed to the success of Ogoni cleanup launch. I only wish Timi Dakolo accepted our invitation to perform.”

Meanwhile, Nigerians responded to the Minister's statement bitterly, describing it as petty and unimportant.  They accentuated that the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari who had nixed his visit to the historical event at the eleventh hour was more significant.
