Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg |
Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg's Twitter and Pinterest accounts were reportedly hacked and apparently compromised for a short period on Sunday.
A group called OurMine claimed responsibility for the attack, noting that they got in because his password was among those leaked in the LinkedIn data breach back in May.OurMine also claimed that his password was “dadada."
"Hey we got access to your Twitter & Instagram & Pinterest, we are just testing your security, please direct message us," a message on Zuckerberg's compromised Twitter read.

Ouch. Mark Zuckerberg's social media accounts have been hacked pic.twitter.com/KvVmXOIg5s— Ben Hall (@Ben_Hall) June 5, 2016
Twitter temporarily suspended the account and deleted the tweet before reinstating it.
Zuckerberg's Twitter account, @Finkd, is barely used and hasn't been officially updated since 2012. However the OurMine group claimed that it hacked his Facebook-controlled Instagram account, but Thewhistler reports that there was no proof, and Facebook of course, denied that any of its systems were breached.
"No Facebook systems or accounts were accessed," says a company spokesman. "The affected accounts have been re-secured."
All accounts have been restored now, and the OurMine Team’s Twitter has been suspended.
