Delta Assembly Takes Second Reading On Hotel/ Restaurant Bill
The Delta State House of Assembly has taken the second reading of the Delta State Hotels/ Restaurants bills.
Hon Erhiatake Ibori who moved motion for the second reading, seconded by Hon Daniel Mayuku argued that the bill was in line with the Smart Agenda of the Okowa administration, stressing that standardization and regulation of hotels and restaurants would be the inherent advantages if the bill was eventually passed into law, even as Hon Mayuku; Oreze Esievo and Pat Ajudua while supporting the sponsor of the
bill, noted that the bill will help in no small measure to regulate the tourism industry in the state.
Hon Angela Nwaka while equally supporting the bill, pointed out that the tourism industry in Israel was a major factor in that Middle East state's economic growth plan with a foreign currency added value of 85 percent and employs some 80,000 persons, adding that the bill was apt.
She commended Hon Ibori for sponsoring the bill because of its numerous advantages
to the promotion of the tourism industry and called for its quick passage.
