| Special Adviser on Planning to the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Ben Akabueze |
President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed his Special Adviser on Planning, Ben Akabueze, as the new Director General of the Budget Office of the Federation.
Akabueze was one-time Lagos state commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget.
Both men joined the Ministry of Budget and National Planning in February 2016.
A statement issued on Thursday by President Buhari’s spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said the redeployment was part of an ongoing exercise aimed at further repositioning the ministry to effectively deliver on its core mandate.
