BREAKING: 4-STOREY SHOPPING MALL COLLAPSES IN ABEOKUTA



Dozens of people are feared dead after a four-storey shopping mall collapsed at Itokun in Abeokuta, Ogun state, South-West Nigeria.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday morning.

The building still under construction is reportedly being constructed by the Ogun state government.

Rescue operations for those trapped in the building is ongoing.

Men and equipment of the Ogun State Fire Service have been mobilized to commence rescue operations while the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun is on ground to coordinate the rescue effort.

According to eyewitness account, part of the building came down around 8:30AM on Friday morning.

Cause of the incident is yet to be known.
