STUDY REVEALS HOW MUCH TIME YOU SPEND ON FACEBOOK DAILY

Facebook hit a new record of 1.65 billion monthly active users this week - but how long do we all actually spend on there?

The figure is shockingly high.

Around the world, people spend nearly an hour a day - 50 minutes - on average, inside Facebook’s suite of apps (Instagram, Facebook, Messenger).

That figure does not include Whatsapp.

Last year, analysts at Needham suggested that users in the U.S. spent 20 minutes on Facebook every day - so the figure seems to be rising.

Facebook’s shares rose 8% yesterday after the company’s earnings report.

Mark Zuckerberg said yesterday, ‘We had a great start to the year.

‘We’re focused on our 10-year roadmap to give everyone in the world the power to share anything they want with anyone.“

‘Facebook has been built on a series of bold moves. When I look out on the future, I see more bold moves ahead of us, not behind us.
