A first-year Nigerian Biomedical student at Warwick University, UK, Faramade Ifaturoti posted a picture on Twitter and wrote :
“Just entered the kitchen and look at what one of my flatmates has done. I am extremely disgusted.” I’m actually fuming! Like what? In 2016? People still behave like this?!
In a previous tweet she had also said “Racism is very real. Especially in this Warwick I can’t lie.”
After the massive response to her tweet, the University has responded by saying they are investigating as a matter of urgency.
Ifaturoti told BuzzFeed News that this is not the first time something like this has happened and she now wishes to change accommodation.
